Ask the Author Book Club
Introducing KidLit Craft Ask the Author Book Club!
Each session will focus on a particular book and give you the chance to ask the author all of your nerdy questions about it!
How it Works
Read the book
Read the selected book alongside other KidLit writers, keeping an eye out for craft.
Submit questions ahead
A week before the event, you’ll receive a form to submit your burning craft questions.
Hear from the author
During the book club event, your KLC podcast hosts Anne-Marie Strohman and Erin Nuttall will interview the author, pulling from submitted questions about writing craft and the author’s process, focusing specifically on the selected book. We’ll end each session with an open Q&A.
If you miss the event
Recordings will be available for one month after the event for those who register.
Middle Grade and Young Adult sessions
Each season, we’ll select two middle grade novels and two young adult novels that have been recently published.
This is not your run-of-the-mill author interview. We will get nerdy!
